My name is Dave Stratton, and Out Of The Box Web Design is a collection of sites and designs that I have created over the past 5+ years for local non-profit and community organizations and individuals here in the greater Boston, MA area.  Out Of The Box Web Design started as an offshoot of a local community service group called ShareOurStrengths.org that was seeking to connect people with talents and items with people who had needs for those services and items.  I started working with them to develop the ShareOurStrengths.org website and soon found myself making websites and blog templates for local churches and individuals.  My undergrad degree was in computer technology/programming and business information systems, and I’ve learned alongside some very gifted computer techs along the way, so these websites are a way to keep myself in the technology loop and use the skills I’ve developed over the years.

Out Of The Box websites are built on a WordPress framework in order to take advantage of the SEO and Google search advantages of WP.  I completely customize the html, css, and php coding to meet each individual website’s needs, and integrate my sites easily with Facebook, Twitter, RSS, and other social media outlets.  I use the Adobe Suite with Photoshop and Flash and Illustrator in order to create custom graphics, logos, and background designs to augment my websites.  And my sites are easy to update and maintain once created for either the end-user or myself to keep them looking good and working correctly in the future.
